Pho Thanh II sits unassumingly along E Joyce Blvd in Fayetteville, drawing a steady crowd that’s clearly familiar with quality Vietnamese comfort food. This spot is best known for its pho—particularly the classic Pho Nam—which consistently brings people back despite the sometimes bustling service pace. The atmosphere inside is casual and lively, reflecting a no-frills dining experience where the focus stays on the food and quick turnover rather than slow, formal meals.

Regulars appreciate the depth of options beyond the signature pho, such as fresh spring rolls, hot pot, and crispy egg rolls. If you’re here for a solo lunch or a relaxed family dinner, the fried rice dishes and stir-fried veggies make satisfying choices to round out a meal. The space is typically busy at peak hours, especially dinner time, so patience is a must if you want a seat without waiting.

Though the service can lean on the brisk side, it generally remains friendly and efficient considering the crowd. One notable touch that locals appreciate is the clean-tasting ice water—a small detail that speaks to the kitchen’s attention to everyday basics. If you’re someone who thrives on strong, sweet broths in your pho, be mindful that some long-time diners have noticed subtle changes over time, indicating a slight shift in the recipe or preparation style.

This neighborhood spot serves well as a go-to for anyone craving authentic Vietnamese flavors without the fuss of fine dining. It’s particularly welcoming to families, groups, and regulars who value consistent portion sizes and familiar seasoning. Visiting during off-peak hours might offer a quieter experience, but the lively buzz during busy times captures the communal aspect that makes Pho Thanh II feel like a shared local resource, rather than just another restaurant.

One of the best Pho places around. Always fast and friendly service. The food has never disappointed me. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First time here, bun bo hue was tasty, and mi xao gion was flavorful, and most importantly ice water tasted clean, ( i cant stand a restaurant with nasty dirty tasting water) and the staff were very friendly. We will definitely be back again next time we’re in town. Diem

The food, quantity and quality were exceptional, but i did find service to be lacking. It was very busy, but still I would have expected someone to refill tea or at least check on us after serving the food. I'm also disappointed in the checkout process, including the inability to leave a custom tip, you could only pick from 18% and up. What ever happened to 15% being standard and higher amounts reserved for exceptional service, which we did not receive. However, I couldn't finish my meal and had to leave quite a bit behind. Next time I'll order the small bowl and maybe an appetizer if I feel really hungry.

Our family prefers the seasoning of this location over the other ones they have in NWA. Their rice dishes, and Pho is delicious and is actually better than some places in Dallas, which is where we’re from. It tends to be busy quite quite often each time we’re there and service isn’t the best. The first time they forgot to include one of the items we ordered and then the next time, it took 10-15 minutes after my wife got her pho for me to get my rice dish. But they are friendly and we can look past that. Overall we’ll be back

I’ve been coming here for years and have considered myself a loyal customer. I used to recommend this place to everyone because the pho was truly the best I’d ever had. Unfortunately, the last few times I’ve visited, the broth seems to have changed, it’s no longer as sweet and flavorful as it used to be, and now tastes a bit more watery and dull. I kept coming back hoping it was just an off day, but I’m starting to wonder if the recipe or cook has changed. I’ve recently found another spot that reminds me of how their pho used to taste, but I still have so much love for this place and hope to come back if the old flavor returns. The service has always been wonderful, and everyone here has consistently been so friendly.

The best Vietnamese I've ever had. I travel quite a bit and have had a Vietnamese and other states and nothing compares to this place. Their meat is perfectly caramelized on the outside and their vegetables are super fresh and they're vermicelli noodles are cooked to perfection. 10/10
